Trainee Testing Engineer – Power Electronics

Purpose
To support production and testing activities by gaining in-depth knowledge of power electronic products, components, and manufacturing processes, and to ensure product quality through proper testing, documentation, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product & Process Understanding
- Acquire detailed knowledge of all company products, their functions, and technical features.
- Develop strong understanding of electronic components used in power electronic control cards and assemblies.
- Learn and follow internal zone layout, cell flow, and overall production workflow.
- Understand fixture usage, tools, and safe handling procedures as per standard operating practices.
2. Testing & Quality Control
- Perform product testing strictly according to approved work instructions and test procedures.
- Identify defects, abnormalities, and deviations during testing and report them promptly.
- Maintain test discipline to ensure product quality and reliability.
3. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain test reports for all tested products.
- Ensure accurate entry of production and testing data in records/logs.
- Follow company documentation and reporting systems for traceability and compliance.
4. Troubleshooting & Improvement
- Develop troubleshooting skills to analyze and resolve product-related issues.
- Support corrective and preventive actions in coordination with seniors and quality teams.
- Maintain regular work status records and highlight process gaps or improvement areas.
Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
- Basic knowledge of:
- Electronic components (resistors, capacitors, ICs, MOSFETs, IGBTs, etc.)
- Power electronics circuits
- PCB and control card functionality
- Ability to understand schematics and test procedures (preferred).
Computer Skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, basic reporting).

- Willingness to learn and adapt to manufacturing environment
- Attention to detail
- Discipline in following procedures
- Good communication and documentation skills

Educational Qualification
Dip / BE / B.Tech / BSc. (EEE/ECE/E&I/Electronics)

- Involves handling electronic assemblies, fixtures, and test equipment

- Engineer Trainee → Junior Testing Engineer → Testing Engineer →Senior Testing Engineer → Department head / Hardware Engineer (R&D)
